There are many fragrant roses on our list of Roses. Look for the ones with the ff label on our list or if it is noted as strong. All of the English and Austin roses are very fragrant as well as the Generosa and most antique varieties. A list of hybrid teas and floribundas follows: Red: Chrysler Imperial, Mister Lincoln, Papa Meilland and Ingrid Bergman. Yellow: Gold Medal Pink: Eiffel Tower, Fragrant Cloud, Miss All American Beauty, Pearl Essence, Perfume Delight, Rose Rhapsody, Sea Shell, Secret, Sweet Surrender and Tiffany White: John F. Kennedy, Sheer Bliss, White Lightning, Vanilla Perfume Lavender: All of them Orange: Just Joey, Sultry, Tropicana, Valencia Multi-color: Double Delight, French Perfume, Heart of Gold, LeAnn Rimes, Voodoo, Weight Watchers Success Floribunda Roses: Angel Face, Fragrant Apricot, George Burns, Honey Bouquet, Judy Garland, Iceberg, Love Potion, Scentimental, Sheila's Perfume, Shocking Blue, Summer Fashion. Fragrance is usually better in the mornings and when weather is cool. Some rose folks say that two applications of Mineral Soil Conditioner each year does wonders. It lowers the ph factor and adds iron and sulphur and gypsite to the soil. |
